This system makes it easy to report a concern about workplace issues like financial and auditing concerns, harassment, theft, substance abuse and unsafe conditions. CenterPoint Energy takes all issues raised by employees seriously and addresses each issue in a fair and prompt way. CenterPoint Energy does not tolerate any form of retaliation or negative reaction for raising good faith concerns about violations of our Code or any applicable laws or regulations.

When do I call the Concerns Helpline?

Call the Concerns Helpline to ask a question or receive guidance about a business ethics or compliance concern. You may also call to report a suspected violation of the law, regulatory requirement or CNP policy.

Why call the Concerns Helpline?
We encourage everyone to seek appropriate guidance about situations that do not support our standards of business practices or CNP’s ethical culture. The Concerns Helpline is available when you wish to discuss an issue or voice a concern confidentially or anonymously.

What happens when I call the Concerns Helpline?
An agent will listen to your concern and ask questions to determine the nature of the issue. If you prefer to remain anonymous, you will receive an access number to use in following up on the status of your concern or report. The calls are never recorded and there is no caller ID or automatic callback on the phone lines.

What happens after I have made a call to the Concerns Helpline?
A summary report of your concern is sent to the Ethics and Compliance department for review and handling. If you provide us your contact information, someone will get in touch with you. If you placed a call anonymously, we will correspond with you by providing updates to the Concerns Helpline. You will need to use the access number provided to obtain any updates.

Are there other concerns reporting methods?
You may report your concern to any direct supervisor or manager, the Concerns Helpline, the Ethics and Compliance department, or any other member of management (for example, Human Resources, Audit Services, Legal Department, or Corporate Security).
