My Energy Analyzer

This free, online bill analysis tool explains where your home’s energy dollars are spent. In less than 10 minutes, you’ll get an energy analysis and customized energy efficiency tips. Best of all, it’s available in My Account. Just register or log in and select the Analyze Bill button.

Average Monthly Billing

Most customers can lower their bill payment during heating season with Average Monthly Billing, which spreads your costs more evenly throughout the year and provides more predictable payments.

Gas usage charts

My Account users can find this popular, interactive chart showing their gas usage trends by selecting the “Gas Usage” link. The chart also appears on the first page of your paper bill.

Although the cost of natural gas can shift, heating with energy-efficient natural gas heating systems is reliably cost-effective compared to heaters that are powered by heating oil, propane and electricity.

Safety tips

If you notice a smell like rotten eggs in your home, it could be a natural gas leak. Leave fast on foot and call CenterPoint Energy or 911 from a safe distance. Also, be sure to test your carbon monoxide (CO) and smoke detectors and replace the batteries if needed.
