Greater Houston Resiliency Initiative Phase One

Greater Houston Resiliency Initiative

The first phase of CenterPoint Energy’s Greater Houston Resiliency Initiative was focused on a series of immediate actions to improve resiliency, including installing more storm-resilient poles, trimming or removing higher-risk vegetation, and installing automated devices to reduce the number of storm-related outages.

We have successfully completed – ahead of schedule – these core resiliency actions of the first phase of the GHRI, as we continue our work to become the most resilient coastal grid in the country. We want to again thank our customers for their support and patience as we conducted this important resiliency work across our community, and for our customers, that we are privileged to serve.
