EligibilityThis program is available to commercial customers within the CenterPoint Energy Houston Electric service territory. Site must be non-residential, non-transmission class (<69 kV) nor non-profit/government transmission class customer. Data centers are considered any space used to house IT systems infrastructure, such as network operations centers, server rooms, enterprise data centers and colocation facilities.
Eligible facilities may receive free technical assistance including:
- Energy savings calculations
- Benchmarking
- Energy assessments

How to apply
Pre-application approval and inspection are required for all data center projects. This provides us the opportunity to recommend operational improvements to your facility. Please contact the CenterPoint Energy program staff during the planning process to get started.
