Burnsville - Red Oak Circle and Red Oak Court - Project Updates

Crews from Michels Corporation, CenterPoint Energy’s authorized contractor, replaced the project’s natural gas mains and are connecting the natural gas service lines to the new mains. They completed the service line work on Red Oak Circle N. and S. In the following order, they will finish service line work on Red Oak Court S., Red Oak Court N. and the cul-de-sacs.

This week, the crews are beginning to replace the project’s natural gas mains. They are starting at Red Oak Circle S. and River Hills Drive, working their way to the loop from Red Oak Circle N. to River Hills Drive. After that, they will replace the mains on the cul-de-sacs from south to north, then River Hills Circle, then River Hills Drive.

Traffic Impacts

In areas of active construction, the following plans will take place: No full road closures are expected. Two-way traffic will be maintained with lane closures. Parking will be restricted on both sides of the road where the crews are working. Sidewalk closures will happen on one side of the road at a time.

Project Description

Beginning on April 26 and lasting into late spring or early summer 2021, CenterPoint Energy’s authorized contractors will work in Burnsville along the following roads: River Hills Circle, Red Oak Circle N., Red Oak Circle S., Red Oak Court N., and Red Oak Court S. While Michels Corporation will replace the natural gas main, connect the natural gas service lines to the new main, and move any inside residential meters outside, Q3 Contracting will restore the areas affected by Michels Corporation’s work.
