CenterPoint Energy’s authorized contractors are finishing the project. Crews from Michels Corporation finished the natural gas work in late May, while crews from Q3 Contracting will restore the areas affected by Michels Corporation’s work.
Crews from Michels Corporation, CenterPoint Energy’s authorized contractor, have connected 75 percent of the project’s natural gas service lines to the new mains. They are on 77th Avenue N., moving toward Abbot Avenue N.
Crews from Michels Corporation, CenterPoint Energy’s authorized contractor, have replaced the project’s natural gas mains. The crews have been connecting natural gas service lines to the new mains and are currently on Ewing Avenue N. heading toward 77th Avenue N. and Drew Avenue N.
From April 22 to late May 2021, CenterPoint Energy’s authorized contractors will work in Brooklyn Park along the following streets south of Brookdale Drive N.: Abbot Circle and 77th, 78th, Abbot, Beard, Chowen, Drew and Ewing Avenues N.
While Michels Corporation will replace the natural gas main, connect the natural gas service lines to the new main, and move any inside residential meters outside, Q3 Contracting will restore the areas affected by Michels Corporation’s work outside the limits of the City of Brooklyn Park’s 2021 Street Reconstruction Project. In areas of active construction, parking or lane closures may occur.
